For the sixth consecutive year, Spain’s Cuban cigar distributor, Tabacalera S.L.U., has released the 2024 Tauromaquia—a series of regular-production cigars packaged in decorative boxes that celebrate the art of bullfighting. The series is made exclusively for the Spanish market, and this year, the design pays homage to 18th century bullfighter Pedro Romero. Inside each glossy, lacquered box are 10 Partagás Serie E No. 2cigars.

Last year’s Tauromaquia was Montecristo No. 2 honoring matador José Luis Mazzantini y Eguía. In 2022, it was a box of Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de San Juans dedicated to Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez “Manolete”.

Like previous releases, every cigar has a foot band to indicate that it’s part of this collection. The Partagás Serie E No. 2 Tauromaquia has a suggested retail price of 35 euros each (about $38) or 350 euros per box, which works out to around $384. Only 1,000 boxes are being produced.
