Plaza Mexico announces 2011-2012 Bullfight Grand Season – Mexico City Travel Guide

Plaza Mexico: “It´s not a fashion, just a lifestyle"

Rafael Herrerias the promoter of Plaza Mexico announced last week at Mexico City, the 2011-12 Grand Bullfighting Season.

The 2011-2012 cycle at Plaza Mexico is set to open on November the 6th, 2011 with a great promotion; Enrique Ponce, Arturo Saldivar and the full-fledge ceremony of Diego Silveti. The three matadors will face 6 bulls, 6 that come from San Isidro´s ranch, which colored ribbons are yellow, red and blue. The cattle grazes at Aguascalientes, Mexico.

The rest of promotions will be announced as the season continues until March 2012, each every Sunday starting, same as last season, at 4:30 PM local time. Tickets available at www.ticketmaster.com.mx

The Mexican Bullfighters announced to take part in the season are as follows: Guillermo Capetillo, Manolo Mejía, Eulalio López “El Zotoluco”, Rafael Ortega, Fernando Ochoa, Uriel Moreno “El Zapata”, Marcial Herce, Alfredo Guitiérrez, Alejandro Martínez Vértiz, José Luis Angelino, Alberto Espinoza “El Cuate”, Christian Ortega, Fabián Barba, Miguel Ortas “Miguelete”, Fermín Rivera, José Mauricio, Juan Chávez, Víctor Mora, Joselito Adame, Pépe López, Antonio García “El Chuhuahua”, Octavio García “El Payo”, Mario Aguilar, Hilda Tenorio, Juan Pablo Sánchez, Arturo Saldívar, Lupita López and Diego Silveti.

The Spanish Bullfighters announced are: Enrique Ponce, Sebastián Castella, David Fandila “El Fandi”, Alejandro Talavante, Miguel Ángel Perera, Daniel Luque, José María Manzanares, Julián López “El Juli”, Mari Paz Vega.

Rafael Herrerías also announced the mounted bullfighters, from Spain, Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza and Diego Ventura from Portugal.

The bull ranches are: La Punta, Rancho Seco, Xajay, Jesús Cabrera, San Marcos, La Soledad, Fernando de la Mora, Marco Garfias, Arroyo Zarco, Los Encinos, San José, Barralva, San Isidro, Julián Hamdan, Marrón, Santa María de Xalpa, La Estancia , Villa Carmela and Jorge María

Arturo Macias, and Ignacio Garibay were not included in the plans nor was the spanish stars Morante de la Puebla and Jose Tomas, who has been noted that he will not reappear in Mexico until April the 24th, during «Feria de San Marcos» at Aguascalientes Bullring.

Plaza Mexico´s Grand Season will be broadcasting both on Cable television and on AM Radio where available.
